I'm a PhD candidate working with John Drake at University of Georgia's Odum School of Ecology . My dissertation work uses a zooplankton-microparasite model system to investigate how factors such as excess nutrients, temperature fluctuations, and competition mediate epidemic dynamics. I use a combination of experimental (e.g., microcosms) and theoretical (e.g., epidemiological models) approaches in order to address these questions (see Research).
I recently took part in an interview on Open Access publishing as part of a series of interviews with scientists at Emory, UGA, and others. If you listen to GA public radio at 3am, you may just hear it live. If not, click here .
